Well sinjan the def goes like this

The intensity at a point in a magnetic field is nothing but the force experienced by a positive pole of unit strength if placed FREELY at that point.

Mathematically

Intensity, I = (1/4

)*(mm₂/d²)

As the pole placed here is unit ie, m₂=1
therefore,

I = (1/4

)*m/d²
here,
m = pole str of the magnet responsible for the magnetic field
d = distant of the point from m

In CGS/air:
    It is found that
       I = m/d²
Unit:

    SI: Telsa      1 telsa = 1 newton/A-m(amp-meter unit of pole str)

       CGS: Gauss    1 gauss = 10^-4 telsa

Additional info:
    A-m = amp-meter unit of pole str

    Telsa = weber/m²


    Where weber = unit of magnetic flux
