no this is not true because colour of heating salt comes by excitation of electron ,when they come in original state energy liberated if this comes in visible region then colour of compound comes, while in solution colour of compound comes due to paramagnetic and diamagnetic nature for example Cu+1 is 3d10 so diamagnetic and colourless while Cu+2 is 3d9 so paramagnetic and coloured. | |||||||||||||
