Slight error in your analysis Anshuman. You missed the self energy term for the charge spread on the surface.
Initial energy = kQ1Q2/R1+kQ2^2/(2*R1) final energy = kQ1Q2/R2+kQ2^2/(2*R2)
Now work done is equall to Efinal-Einitial
