To say that a set S is closed under an operation *, is to say that if you take any two elements a,b of S, then a*b is also an element of S.

 

eg. The natural numbers are closed under addition, or multiplication. But they are not closed under subtraction and division

 

Now you can easily work out which option is correct here.
