As the COMEDK UGET 2011 result is already made available to the students and counseling dates/time is high – it’s time to allocate the branch and the process of admission is on peak. Comedk 2011 result showed the splendid performance made by the karnataka students in both the field of engineering and medical. The top students in both stream was bagged by the students of karnataka itself. Top 100 ranks of COMEDK go to the students of karnataka. 86 students have gone for engineering and 73 rank holders are for medical stream.

This year 67,762 students appeared for the COMEDK test this time, as compared to last year. Candidates who have appeared for comedk 48,823 students had been assigned ranks and 26 % candidates became eligible for medical seat.

The medical council of India has assigned the last date of COMEDK UGET admission process for the medical stream as July 31, 2011 and for the engineering August 31, 2011, which is already fixed by AICTE. A dip in the number of student eligibility in the engineering course can be seen from the change in the paper pattern. Even if a student scored one mark in the entrance test, he/she was assigned the rank.A total of 19,816 seats in medical/dental, engineering, and architecture streams. Of the successful candidates, only 37 per cent in the engineering stream are from Karnataka, whereas 43 per cent students assigned ranks in medical/dental streams are from the State.

• Eight out of the first 10 and 86 out of the top 100 rank-holders in engineering are from the State
• Nine out of the first 10 and 73 out of the 100 toppers in me¬dical/dental are from the State
