Using the equation v= , we can find lambda which turns out to be 8 meters.
Now, as the rod is clamped at one end, we have l= /4, or l = 8/4 = 2m.
The main concept here is that a node is not formed at the other end of the rod, simply because it is not clamped. If you consider a node to be formed at the other end of the rod, then u will go wrong. However, a node is formed a the front end as it is clamped.
