if u see towards earth's north pole it rotates anti-clockwise at the same time it also revolve around sun anti-clockwise.
now during daytime due to rotation particles move down & due to revolution up(if we view towards north pole taking sun left of earth),thus two motion oppose each other.
but during night particle move up due to both & hence move faster.
