Uttar Pradesh Technical University (UPSEE) FAQ:
Q1- I have lost my Admit card of UPSEE-2013. What should I do?
Ans: You can download your duplicate Admit card from MTU web site www.mtu.ac.in. Without proper Admit Card you will not be allowed to proceed for document verification. In case of any difficulty Contact Document Verification (DV) Centre & Choice Locking Centre (CC) Center In-charge.
Q2- I do not have my Rank card, but I remember my Roll no & Rank. What should I do?
Ans: You can download your Rank card from MTU web site. Otherwise Contact DV & CC Center In- charge.
Q3- I have not qualified in UPSEE-2013 . Can I participate in counseling?
Ans: No. Only qualified candidates of UPSEE-2013 are eligible to participate in counseling (Document Verification & Choice Locking).
Q4- I do not have Original Mark-sheet of Qualifying examination. Will you verify marks from Photocopy of mark-sheet?
Ans: No. Marks have to be checked from ORIGINAL mark-sheet only. You must positively produce your Original Mark-sheet of Qualifying examination at the time of Document Verification.
Q5- In place of Domicile certificate of my Parents, I have got my own Domicile certificate. Can I submit it?
Ans: We require the domicile certificate of your Father or Mother only. Your domicile certificate in place of your Parent domicile certificate will not be accepted.
Q6- I do not have Main category (OBC/ SC/ ST) certificate and/ or Sub- category (AF/ FF/ HC) certificate. What should I do?
Ans: You can get the certificate from the competent authority in our prescribed format (given in UPSEE -2013 Information Brochure) and come again during Special Verification (27th June to 28th June 2013).
Q7- I cannot get Main category (OBC/ SC/ ST) certificate and/ or Sub- category (AF/ FF/ HC) certificate even at the time of Special Verification (27th June to 28th June 2013). I want to get documents verified today. Is it possible?
Ans: You can get documents verified today itself in the absence of the certificate in proper format. But the advantage of the category/ sub-category for which you do not have the certificate, will not be given to you. Your category will be changed to general accordingly.
Q8- I want that some certificates may be verified today and the remaining certificates may be verified in the Special Verification (27th June to 28th June 2013). Is it possible?
Ans: No. It is not possible. All the documents are to be verified at one point of time and then only your eligibility, category etc. are determined/ verified. Therefore, you have to come with all the documents for verification. You may choose to come later in the Special Verification (27th
June to 28th June 2013).
Q9- If I come in the Special Verification (27th June to 28th June 2013), will it affect my rank?
Will I get the opportunity to lock seat choices as per my Merit/ Rank?
Ans: Whether your documents are verified during Verification slot (22 June – 26 June 2013) or during Special Verification (27th June to 28th June 2012), you will get the opportunity to lock seat choices as per your Merit/ Rank during Seat Choice Locking schedule.
Q10- I had claimed rural weightage, but don’t posses Rural weight -age certificate. OR My Rural weight -age certificate is not in proper format. What do I do?
Ans: You must get the certificate from the competent authority in prescribed format (given in Brochure) and then come for document verification. If you think that you cannot get the certificate by the time slot allotted to your roll no then try for the Special Verification (27th June to 28th June 2013) slot, the advantage of Rural weightage, for which you do not have the certificate, will not be given to you. Your documents will be verified as per your Rank without Rural weightage.
Q11- What will happen if I do not have proper Income certificate of parents?
Ans: Those who submit Income certificate of Parents, will be eligible for Tuition Fee Waiver Seats also. If you think that you cannot get the certificate even by Special Verification (27th June to 28th June 2013) time, participate in Verification today. But you will not be considered for Tuition Fee Waiver Seats at the time of Seat Choice Locking.
Q12- I did not join any school/ college during the last year(s) and have gap in my studies. But
Ans: I have not brought Affidavit for Gap period. What can I do?
The Affidavit for Gap period can be arranged from a local NOTARY. If you find any difficulty in making it, Contact DV&CC Center In-charge.
Q13- I do not have Medical fitness certificate/ Transfer certificate/ Migration certificate/Character certificate from the Institution last attended.
Ans: Participate in Verification. You can submit undertaking on Certificate 10 (proforma available in Brochure) at the time of Document Verification and these certificates can be submitted in the Institution you are admitted at the time of taking admission.
Q14- (a) I have forgotten to bring the Fee drafts ;
(b) I have got one draft for Rs.5500/- in place of two drafts;
(c) The drafts are NOT payable in favour of Finance Officer, Mahamaya Technical University, A/C UPSEE : 2011 payable at NOIDA; (d) the drafts are payable at Lucknow; (e) the signature of draft - issuing officer of the bank are missing; (f) the drafts are damaged in travel/ rain; (g) the amount written in FIGURES and WORDS in the draft do not match; (h) I am a candidate whose Tuition Fee will be paid by Samaj Kalyan Vibhag of U.P. Etc.
Ans: In any of these or similar cases you will NOT be permitted for Verification with improper draft. Submission of counseling fee of Rs.500/- (non-refundable) in the form of Demand Draft payable in favour of “Finance Officer, Mahamaya Technical University, Noida” payable at NOIDA at the time of REPORTING at DOCUMENT VERIFICATION CENTRE is a mandatory condition to participate in verification. You can arrange the drafts from nearby bank or Contact DV&CC Center In-charge. The Demand draft of Rs. 5000/- in the form of Demand Draft drawn in favour of “Finance Officer, Mahamaya Technical University, Noida” payable at NOIDA at the time of REPORTING for CHOICE LOCKING at DV&CC CENTRE is a mandatory condition to participate in choice locking.
Q15- Is there any sequence for reporting at Document Verification on my scheduled day?
Ans: Your sequence of document verification will be decided by the sequence in which you submit fee i.e. Demand Draft of Rs. 500/- at DV&CC Centre, so do come early to finish your process as soon as possible.
Q16- I have not got my documents verified. Can I participate in Choice locking & seat allotment?
Ans: No. Only qualified candidates who have got their documents verified are eligible to participate in Choice Locking and seat allotment process.
Q17- Is there any sequence for reporting at Choice Locking on my scheduled day?
Ans: Your sequence of choice locking will be decided by the sequence in which you submit fee i.e. Demand Draft of Rs. 5000/- at Choice Locking Centre.
Q18- After Document Verification what will I get?
Ans: If your documents are complete and in order then you will get the slip after verification of your documents from the counter at which you got your documents verified. You have to preserve it along with fee deposition slip and bring it again at the time of reporting for Choice
Locking as per declared schedule without which you may not be permitted to Lock your choice.
Q19- (a) How to lock the choices ? and b) How many choices can I submit?
Ans: When you report at the DV&CC as per the schedule notified by Mahamaya Technical University on the website www.mtu.ac.in / www.upsee.nic.in. At the time of reporting (between 8 – 10 AM on the scheduled date) bring the slip of document verification and the
demand draft of Rs.5000/-. Your sequence will be decided by the sequence in which you deposit the fee. Keep a watch and at your sequence no. go for choice submission and locking. You may submit as many choices as you wish. Only vacant seats as available on the day of
your choice locking will be shown to you on computer screen. Submit the choices and get them locked by the Officer available there. After you are finished with filling of choices take duly signed print out of the choices submitted by you and leave the Centre.
Q20- How will I come to know which seat has been allotted to me?
Ans: Generally on the day of choice locking itself the seat allotment list will be hosted on the www.upsee.nic.in websites.
Q21- What should I do if no seat is allotted to me?
Ans: You may report at the refund/withdrawal counter and get the refund of Rs. 5000/- after submitting the request for withdrawal.
Q22- What do I have to do after knowing the seat allotted to me?
Ans: After getting the seat allotment collect the allotment letter from Choice Locking Centre / or above website. Deposit the seat acceptance fee applicable to your category (Rs. 10,000/- for General /OBC candidates and Rs. 4000/- for SC/ST candidates) in the form of demand draft
within stipulated time period at the Choice Locking Centre itself. In case you donot deposit this fee within stipulated period the seat will be treated as vacant and considered for re- allotment in future and you will forfeit your chance of getting that seat.
Q23- What do I have to do after depositing the acceptance fee?
Ans: After depositing the acceptance fee as per schedule report at the allotted Institute within stipulated date and take admission.
Q24- I have applied for seeking admission in multiple courses and appeared in respective papers. I have deposited acceptance fee for one of the seat allotted to me in a particular course. Can I appear in the choice locking for another course?
Ans: Yes, you can appear. But in case of the allotment of seat on another course your previous allotment will be cancelled if you accept the seat by requesting for transfer of acceptance fee to new allotment.
Q25- I have applied for admission on the basis of JEE-2013 rank / CAT/MAT. I have also appeared in UPSEE-2012. Can I appear in the choice locking for both?
Ans: Yes. But in case of seat allotment and your acceptance on the basis of JEE/CAT/MAT , you will have to forego the previous allotment in the event of new seat allotment on the basis of UPSEE-2013 rank. This will be done on your request at the time of your accepting the new
allotment by requesting for transfer of already deposited fee. Your previous allotment will be cancelled.
Q26- What fee do I have to deposit at the time of admission in allotted Institute?
Ans: The details of fee applicable for any Institute is available at www.afrcup.in. As you have already deposited Rs. 15000 /- for General/OBC candidate or Rs. 9000/- for SC/ST candidate at the Choice Locking Centre. Therefore deposit the fee after deducting this already
deposited fee. Say if the fee is Rs. 40,000 then you have to deposit only Rs. 25,000 more for Gen/OBC.
Q27- When will the classes commence in session 2013-14?
Ans: The details of commencement of classes will be informed by the Institute where candidates takes admission.
