No, answer is (A). Surprised! The reason is: as the bicycle moves forward, the particles of the wheel in contact with the road tends to rub the road backward (remember that this is a case of rolling on a frictionful surface). Since the contact particles have a backward velocity, so the frictions act opposite to dis velocity, i.e. in the forward direction. For reference, see H.C. Verma Concepts of Physics Pg.190 Example 27
