There is no doubt that H.C.Verma is a very good book.  this book has written in1992 year. and there has no any modification in that book .. think why??????  it's simple because it contain all useful concept and that was enough for that time and also enough today. I suggest you throw the key of this book because it is good for you  and try to solve the question by yourself  and all question either any type will be solve by you if your concept is clear on that chapter.  question of short answer is very concepted problems and how much you learn from that chapter it clear from short answer.
