Hi Paridhi,
The syllabus of IIT JEE should be completed by November/December 2007 if you are appearing in IIT JEE 2008. It takes 9-10 months to complete you syllabus to satisfaction.

Revision time will be December 2007/January/February/partly April 2008. Part of Feb and almost the whole of March goes for 12th board exams, so you have to keep it separate. Revision takes 3-4 months roughly because you also try harder problems and last year question papers in this period.

During your revision time it will help you to specifically go through all the points you marked while doing the syllabus for the first time. I mean, keep marking and separately noting down things which you think are important/need more revision or practise, etc. It will help you at the time of revision.

The approach for boards is to complete your boards syllabus from your prescribed text books by January 2008 and then take on last 10 year board question papers.

All the very best. Write more if you need.
