the line lx + my +n = 0 is a normal to the ellipse x2/a2 + y2/b2 = 1 if
 
(a) a2/l2 - b2/m2 = (a2 - b2)2 / n2
 
(b) a2/m2 + b2/l2 = (a2 - b2)2 / n2
 
(c) a2/l2 + b2/m2 = (a2 - b2)2 / n2
