Actually, it can b easily understood .
 
 
As v know that the entropy of the universe is continuosly increasing. So, if the entropy now is x , next momemt it will b x+h.
 
 
so, if u will travel back in time, u have to go from more spontaneous to less spontaneous situation. Which is not feasible.
 
Again ,as is the case of dimensions, it is not a completely proven fact. It is still a lots of controversies in between different science communities.Just like multiverse theory & the grandfather paradox.
 
In my opinion, it is only possible through a worm hole of time ( that can give some negative time to its travvelers) jus like negative energy.
