I have been trying to study Qualitative Analysis and p-block elements, but I keep forgetting. Is there any way other than learning it by-heart. How much quesitons do they generally ask based on facts in inorganic chemistry ? ( Like reactions, colors of salts,etc )

Is it advisable to leave fact-based portions ( including qual.analysis ) in inorganic chemistry?
