although Cu+ has a very stable conf.(stable core) but cu2+ is more stable...
it is because everytime there mest be a balnce bet. nuclear charge and outer e syst...
as in cu  nuclear charge is not suff. enough to hold outer 18 e (cu+ conf) togethr it givs one more e to become a more stable core.....cu2+
