I think you have asked something opposite..
Actually H0H is more acidic than CH3OR. .. and the reason is simple
conjugate base CH3O- is more basic than -OH. (based on electron density)

Hence H2O is more acidic than CH3OH.

Sometimes, its better to see behind ourselves to enlighten our forward direction.
