Actually there is a short cut to do these type of sums
If the question is in the form of (a1/p+b1/q)n..then the no.of
rational terms will be equal to n/(lcm of p and q) + 1.
a and b shoud be written in the simplest form.
in this case it will be 8/2+1=5 rat.terms
=4 irrational terms.
