Actually centripetal forces are the forces that are necessary for any body to rotate about any axis. For example, when a stone is rotated by a string, the tension provides centripetal force, if the string breaks, tension becomes zero& so rotation stops. Centrifugal force is nothing, it is a pseudo force, which actsupon a rotating body , if observed through a non inertial frame. CHEERS !!
