Hey aspitants..
I have come across many ppl who take the correspondence course of Brilliant but are confused in how to use it as well as their reference books. If you mix up these books then you are in the midst of a disaster.
Tips:
Physics:
1. First of all since the theory of both HCV and Briliant are good i suggest you try to do both for theory.
2. Then after doing the theory do the objective questions from the BT
module followed by the last 20 sums from HC verma(which r subjective).
The reason for doing subjective questions from HC Verma is that it sharpens ur concepts to a new level.
Chemistry:
Physical,Inorganic:
1. The Theory part for inorganic and physical chem is given very nicely in BT books. First go through them thoroughly and then browse books like RC mukherjee and P bahadur which give some good readymade shortcuts.
2. Regarding the numericals .......Do the objective questions from BT first and then attempt the subjective questions from P bahadur and objective from RC mukherjee.
Organic:
1. For organic the theory of BT is more than enough ....same applies to the questions given at the back of the books.
2. In case you are a very BIG PADHAKOO then you may try Morisson n boyd.
Maths:
1. First ..as i have said above for phy and chem do the theory from the BT books followed by the formulas given in the beginning of the chapters in TATA Mcgraw Hill.
2. Do the objective questions from TMH after doing the theory.
TMH can also be replaced by A Das Gupta in the above.
I hope this article of mine comes to use in someway or the other for the IIT aspirants.
