colour of light depends only on frequency and not on wavelength...

when light travals through different mediums only the frequency remains unchanged, all the other factors(i.e. velocity, wavelength etc) change...

and colour of light  does not change when it passes through different mediums...so it is obvious that colour of light depends on a constant factor that is frequency...  :)
