Hello!
Plugins are small pieces of software that you can download and install. Upon installation, they will integrate with your browser and add to its functionality. If you are a Firefox user, you will have access to thousands of such 'plug-ins (also called 'extensions' or 'add-ons') that can perform a variety of tasks that you cannot even think of. Switch to Mozilla Firefox if you are an Internet Explorer user and experience a whole new web!
Pop-ups are small windows that'pop up' when you open a website. They are usually advertisements that serve only to annoy the hell out of the user. With a suitable plug in like Adblock Plus, you can steer yourself clear from those irksome pop-ups! Once again; you'll have to use Firefox.
Cookies are small files stored on your computer by the websites that you visit. They are used to make your experience of that particular website better, for instance, it'll load faster the second time you access it with the same browser.
Hope this helped!
