make numerator 1/2(x^2 + 1 + x^2 -1)
then write as 2 integrals
then devide in each the num n denom by x^2.. in denom write x^2 + 1/x^2 in terms of x + 1/x in 1 case x-1/x in the other
in 1 put x+1/x=t other x-1/x=t
