@ akhil..
c it lik this also..suppose a chair is stationary..let max frictional force be 4 N..now say u r pulling with 2 N..
if the frictional force become 4N then the chair shud start moving in opposite dir..but what actually happens..the chair remains stationary which agrres wid the fact tht frictional force will also b 2N but in the opposite direction
