Note that -\cos (x + y) = cos( \pi - x - y)
\implies By jensen's we get
\frac {\cos x + \cos y + \cos (x + y)}{3}
= \frac {\cos x + \cos y + \cos (\pi -(x + y)}{3}
\geq \cos (x + y + \pi - (x + y)) = -1
\implies \cos x + \cos y + \cos (x + y) \geq -3 Smile
