now when v talk abt tension on a string..it is basically the force'F' only not the net force 2F.. for eg think of a 2-block system on a surface...the tension T acts on both sides...but what v call tension T is not the sum of the 2 forces it is each force itself.. in this sum the force on each end is 0.5 N n so tension is 0.5 N only not 0.5+0.5=1N
