okay, lemme post the soln :)
Set up a variable vn by noting that
un = (un (a + (n+r)b) - (a +( n-1)b))/ (r+1)b
 split it up into 2 parts and let
vn = un(a+(n+r)b)/(r+1)b
 
Sn = vn - vo due to telescopic summation :)
Easy from here :)
