write x^3+1 as (x+1)(x^2-x+1)

now write partial fractions

you get the the integrand as -1/3(x+1) +(x+1)/3(x^2-x+1)

integrate it you get the answer as

-ln(x+1)/3 +1/3(4/3 tan^-1 2x-1/
