To get in NIT's Its your state rank that matters iff you are seeking admission in your stae NIT .

There will be cut-off marks in each subject. But the cutoff marks will be decided by the authorities during correction .It depends upon the relative performance of the students. For getting a good rank  You may have to get above 280 or so in 360 iff the paper is easy .
