for hybridisation:
1)first find the charge on the metal and write its e- config.
2)then pair e- if it is a strong ligand.
3)then take the orbitals of the metal ion which are empty.
for eg:[Co(NH3)6]3+
Co3+=[Ar]4s0 3d6
|| | | | |------>these r electrons representation
since NH3 is strong pair it.
|| || || d d s p p p
it implies der r two d ,one s and three p orbitals which r empty.
so u have d2sp3 hybridisation.
hope this helps
do ask if not clear
