1) The circle is given by S + uL =0
=> x^2 + y^2 - a^2 + u(x cos a + y sin a -p) =0
This circle will pass through the 0,0. Why?(Ask if you dont get it) Put 0,0 in the equation and get u. Then put u back into the equation.
2) Circle is not imaginary as radius >0.
Centre is (2,1). So shortest distance is [Distance of the point from centre] - [Radius] and longest distance is [Distance of the point from centre] + [Radius]
