consider the cylinder in the gap( of dia R-r) is rotaing abt itself with w and has a COM velocity=V(which itself is changing dir continuously) now wat v need to do is solve for this V then V/(R+r)/2 will be the ans we need now chk @ the inner boundary: the equation for pure motion is rw1 + V=(R-r)/2 *w(note tht this w is not what v actually want to calculate) the V comes here due to rel motion bet the 2 things similarly v also have @ outer boundary: Rw2 -V=(R-r)/2 *w equating the 2 v have: rw1 +V=Rw2 -V so V=(Rw2-rw1)/2 so the thing v need is V/(R+r)/2 =Rw2-rw1/R+r
