Q.1. Give reasons for the following:

a) p-nitrobenzene sulphonic acid is formed fron the reaction of p-nitrobenzene but chlorobenzene will not give benzene sulphonic acid on treatment with NaHSO3.

b) Irradiation of an equimolar mixture of cyclohexane, toluene and Br2 in CCl4 gives exclusive benzyl bromide. whereas in a similar reaction with chlorine only cyclohexyl chloride is obtained.
