Mmix = 1/2[M1 + M2]    (where M is the molecular mass)
 
Mmix = 4RT/pi[1/v1^2 + 1/v2^2]
 
so average velocity of mixture is root(8RT/piMmix) 
 
root( (2 v1^2 v2^2)/(v1^2 + v2^2))
 
= v1v2(root(2/v1^2 + v2^2))
