68 + 48rt2 = 36 + 32 +48rt2

                 = 62 + (4rt2)2 + 2(6)(4rt2)

                 = (6 + 4rt2)2

sqrt of this is 6 + 4rt2

Now the given expression becomes 6 - 4rt2

write it as 22 + (rt2)2 - 2(2)(rt2)

sqrt of this is 2 - rt2
