Well done Amit. Mascot, before discovery of semiconductors diode and triode valves were used instead of pn junction and transistor. A typical diode or triode has a size of a bulb while a silicon chip has more than million elements per mm square. This has created a revolution in electronics. That is called semiconductor revolution.
