Assume two persons 1,2 standing on a large rotating disc. 1is at the centre with a ball in his hand and 2 is on the edge. When 2 throws the ball to 1, it actually misses him . A person on the ground knows that this is because the disc had carried away 2 while the ball didnot deviate its st line path (here, the ball is not rolled on the disc)
But for 2, he feels that he is at rest and the ball has actually moved. He accounts this to a pseudo force called Coriolis force. It comes into picture only when the ball has certain velocity....
