1 / 1 - cos x + 2 i sin x
= 1/ (2 sin 2 x/2 + 4 i sin x/2 cos x/2 )
= 1/ (2 sin x/2 ) . 1/( sin x/2 + 2 i cos x/2 )
= 1/ (2 sin x/2 ) . (sin x/2 - 2i cos x/2) / ( sin 2 x/2 + 4 cos 2 x/2 )
= ( 1 - 2 i cot x/2 ) / ( 2 sin 2 x/2 + 8 cos 2 x/2)
= ( 1 - 2i cot x/2 ) / ( 5 + 3 cos x )

From J.R.R. Tolkien's 'The Lord of the Rings':
All that is gold does not glitter
Not all who wander are lost
The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by frost.
From ashes a fire shall be woken
From shadows a light shall spring
Renewed shall be blade that's broken
The crown less again shall be king. |
