No I think its a hyperbola
x + i y = z = 1 - t + i (t2 + t + 1)
So
we have to eliminate t
x = 1 - t
Hence t = 1 - x
y = (t2 + t +1)
y 2 = t2 + t + 1
or y 2 = (1 - x) 2 + 1- x + 2 = 1 - 2x + x2 + 3 - x = x2 + 4 - 3x
or y2 = (x - 3/2 ) 2 + 7/4
So y2 - (x - 3/2) 2 = 7/4
which represents a hyperbola .

All that is gold does not glitter
Not all who wander are lost
The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by frost.
From ashes a fire shall be woken
From shadows a light shall spring
Renewed shall be blade that's broken
The crown less again shall be king. |
