Well because the teachers were really good.They had a lot of experience and could answer doubts well. There was a general lack of discipline but my teachers were strict and gave me personal attn.
As for course material , it was hastily made , basically based on FIITJEE's material. But the Narayana Corresp material is excellent(I had seen a prototype in 2005 , though I never subscribed it).
FIITJEE does have good faculty but there's no denying that Narayana took the best of them.
When Narayana started in Feb 2004 and when the teachers left FIITJEE , a lot students from the affected FIITJEE batches also came to Narayana.They had to pay just 2000Rs. !! and continued their coaching in Narayana
In fact AIR 2 of 2004 , Priya Gupta also came to Narayana(I met her during the party in the lobby , celebrating the results).
I agree that they aren't "exclusive" and take pretty much everyone.But they have a batch system based on performance and if you are in the top batch , you'll have very smart friends.
