2. f(x) = sin^2 x - 5 sinx - 6
f(x) = sin^2 x - 5 sinx - 6
= sin^2 x - 6 sinx + sinx - 6
= (sin x +1) (sin x - 6)
max value is when sin x = -1 ..... ie. 0
min. value is when sin x = 1 ....ie. -10
so range is [-10, 0]
