hey ..
Hmmm so u want to know the important topics ..
well first of let me warn u .. notions like calculus comes 50% are absolutely incorrect .. this what JEE is known for uncertainity ..
The pattern is completely sutble and it changes so quickly .. i do not think there is anything which is not important ... and i believe that all shud be covered in detail ...
However since u have posted this query let me tell me some of the topics which are traditionally known to be important ..
Mathematics :
Topics like Complex number, Probability, Calculus, Circles, Straight Line, Vectors are some important topics.
Physics :
Mechanics takes a lot of weightage. Rotation in particular is considered very important topic. But let me warn u here that the year i gave JEE there was no question from rotation mechanics. However it is important.
Other than this Electrostatics is also important. Also modern physics is increasingly becoming important in examinations these days.
Chemistry :
In Organic Chemistry, Aldehyde and Ketones, Aromatic compounds are celebrated topics.
In Physical Chemistry, Titration problems, Ionic equibillirium , Solutions, Electochemistry are really important stuff.
In InOrganic Chemistry, u shud mainly focus on the various salt analysis tests.
I hope my answer will help u .... but always remember the caution that i have mentioned
cheers
