SEE, U HAVE TO UNDERSTAND HOW A CHARGE EXERTS A FORCE ON ANOTHER. WHEN TWO CHARGES ARE KEPT AT A DISTANCE THEN THE FIRST CHARGE PRODUCES AN ELECTRIC FIELD AROUND IT. NOW A CHARGE KEPT IN AN ELECTRIC FIELD ALWAYS EXPERIENCESS A FORCE GIVEN BY F = QE. NOW THE SECOND CHARGE IS KEPT IN THE ELECTRIC FIELD OF THE FIRST CHARGE AND THUS IT EXPERIENCES A FORCE. NOW WHEN U PUT A DIELECTRIC SLAB BETWEEN THEM THEN THE SLAB IS POLARISED AND THUS CREATES AN OPPOSING ELECTRIC FIELD. THIS OPPOSING ELECTRIC FIELD REDUCES THE ORIGINAL ELECTRIC FIELD OF THE FIRST CHARGE. THUS THE NET ELECTRIC FIELD OF THE FIRST CHARGE IN WHICH SECOND CHARGE IS KEPT IS REDUCED. NOW SINCE F IS DIRECTLY PROPORTIONAL TO E THEREFORE THE FORCE ALSO DECREASES. AS FAR AS SUPERPOSITION IS CONCERNED IT ONLY SAYS ABT THE FORCE EXERTED BY ONE CHARGE ON THE OTHER NOT THE EFFECT OF OTHER FACTORS LIKE THIS.NOW IF U LOOK AT THIS SITUATION U WILL SEE THT THERE IS NO CHANGE IN THE FORCE ON SECOND CHARGE DUE TO FIRST BUT NOW ONLY AN OPPOSING FORCE IS ALSO THERE DUE TO MEDIUM . THEREFORE THE NET FORCE HAS DECREASED NOT THE FORCE ALONE DUE TO THE FIRST CHARGE.
