I suggest that you drop an year. Joining any branch in IIT will land you in trouble later. Like , why a seat vacant for a comp. engineer be given to a mech. eng??

Doing faltoo courses from IIT will land you in trouble later.

My advice ,

Drop an year for IIT. And prepare again for it.

Don't get panicked. This year prepare nicely

For instance

10 hrs - IIT

4 hrs - CET

And next year you are done. Even if you don't qualift IIT , you will get a good college through CET.

However , don't do timepass in the early months. If you want to know why look at the dilema of the Yukti repeater's batch.
