"Sand and Stone"
A story tells that Husband and wife were walking through
the desert.
During some point of the journey, they had an argument, and husband slapped wife on the face The wife was hurt,
but without saying anything, she wrote in the sand:
Today my husband slapped me in the face.
They kept on walking, until they found an oasis,
where they decided to take a bath.
The wife got stuck in the mire and started
drowning, but husband saved her.
After she recovered from the near drowning,
she wrote on a stone:
Today my husband saved my life.
Husband who had slapped and saved his wife, asked her, "After I hurt you, you wrote in
the sand, and now, you write on a stone, why?"
Wife replied:
"When someone hurts us,
we should write it down in sand, where the winds of
forgiveness can erase it away, but when someone
does something good for us, we must engrave it in
stone where no wind can ever erase it.
Learn to write your hurts in the sand and to carve your blessings in stone.
In short try forgetting all the bad things which were a part of your life..
But never forget the things that made your life important for yourself..........
