since ball is drooped wid velocity 9.8 hence its will again reach
to ground in 2 sec. (applying time of flight = 2u / g)

in 2 sec distance travelled by car = 1/2 *1 2*2 ( 1/2 a t^ 2 )

hecne ball will fall 2m behind the car.
