I was good enough to crack JEE on my own? That i know, maybe it IS my own excellence. But let me tell you, that had i continued in mumbai, going to the best college, where commuting times are 4 hours a day and then 6 hours in college, where would i have found time to study? IS there any quality institute there which matches up to the institutes in kota? many of my friends, who were as good as me upto 10th, i might add, took these institutes and failed to clear JEE. I am attributing my success to Bansal because there, I was ABLE to do all the necesary hard work. No one can doubt the quality of the material bansal provides, and the teaching also helps. How can this be simply neglected? JEE is not a weird phenomenon, not when you have the confidence, but mr rydbyrd, dont tell that to a top 100 ranker, ask any ordinary student on the street! they will not know the name of kota or bansal, but yet IITJEE IS a weird phenomenon for them, a place only for the elite few. Institutes like Bansal help them direct their concentration and hardwork in the right direction, enabling them to achieve what was once a mere dream. Seeing the few numbers that  are selected for IIT, i think it is not easy to have self-confidence.

Yes, JEE is a test of student capability, but they dont want an empty, powerful brain! what use is a supercomputer without any hardisk?? you need proper understanding of concept, finer nuances to be expained which only a teacher can do on a personal level - books will fail miserably at this point.

As for the 2 year back thing, I took bansal when the objective pattern had already been announced. But still, their results have only improved.

As for your 3 year challenege, let me tell you that bansal has just fired its missle salvo. Till now, classes were held in some school or an old building; but bansal has completed the construction of a mammoth building, called Gaurav Towers, which has facilities to rival international airports, and teaching facilities unsurpassed. AS for the cyber cafe part, i agree with paddydude, its the students who go astray. And children at this age WILL go astray if they want to - parents or not. ask my friends here in mumbai. Bansal Sir doesnt aim to replace parents, but tries to make sure that their absence does not affect the children adversely. It is unbecoming of you to hurl such accusations at a person who has single handedly revived the dying city of kota and realised so many student's dreams to be among the best. I am not a representatine of bansal, neither am i paid to say such things. It is my respect towards that person that makes me say out against you.

I refuse to post further. This is the umpteenth time rybyrd and wiseIITian have, TOGETHER, tried to criticize coaching classes. I never see them post anything else, neither do u see only one of them post. They have always criticized together, which i find highly suspicious. If you really say that the ability of students is what matters, then why are you so HELLBENT on criticizing classes? How does it matter?

If you really want to help, please answer student's queries in the forums instead.
