The range of cosine function is [-1,1]
So min value for cos (cos x) will be either for cos (-1) or for cos 1
But -1 is in 4th quadrant where cos is increasing while 1 is in 1st quadrant where cos is decreasing function.
-1 <=cos x<= 1
Lets split this in two parts:
(i) -1 <= cos x (4th quadrant) implies cos (-1) <= cos (cos x) implies cos 1 <= cos (cos x).......................(1)
(ii) cos x <= 1 (1st quadrant) implies cos (cos x) >= cos 1.......................(2)
Thus the minimum value is cos 1
Rate me if i m correct......
