Well in refraction b/w 2 media, angle on incidence can b equal 2 angle of refraction only when ray falls normally on d separating surface. But 4 other angles this mite not b true. However if d refracted ray undergoes TIR again then it may become parallel 2 d incident ray (ray which suffered TIR 1st), but retracing d same path is not possible (if purely refraction takes place).
