Yeah both Irodov and sarvesh.iit_m are right . The point is that Irodov takes Vo and g to be vectors and gives the answer in vector form. Whereas sarvesh gives it in the natural scalar form .

the formula s = vt +1/2 gt^2 is valid in vector form also .
