Just wanted to share something out of my life. During my stay at IIT, I had friends from the remotest of villages of rajasthan, where IIT is something people dont even understand, and guess what, some of them had a much better rank than I did! Its a frame of mind. Either you can do it, or you cant. Simple logic. If u cant do it, there would be a thousand ways to justify the failure. Coaching etc does give you a big edge. there's no denying it. but the maximum concepts I gained were the ones I spent hours on myself, without anyone intervening. Teachers can only guide you to a limit. Morpheus said in Matrix to Neo "stop trying to hit me and hit me"... thats the thumb rule. dont think u can make it to iit...know it.  as for guidance, we ar all here to help. You got thousands of people as sharp as you are, right here, ready to help you. Many of them being the hghest rankers - who have been there done that and know what it takes. so believe in yourself, and I'll personally wait for you to tell us your JEE rank.
